Where Are They Now Christmas Version: Cindy Lou Who aka Taylor Momsen

If you’ve been watching Christmas movies like I have the past few weeks, you’ve seen ABC Family replay How The Grinch Stole Christmas, starring Jim Carrey, about 20 times. And the breakout star of the movie aside from Carrey, was the little girl who played Cindy Lou Who. But where is this child actor now? Faring better than most other child actors, because she’s a bad ass rock girl and she’s hot too! Taylor Momsen played the cute little girl with the long pony tails when she was around 8 years old. And by and far was considered to have made the movie a hit along side Jim Carrey as the Grinch. But now she’s all grown up and at the age of 21, she’s doing quite well for herself. Her parents signed her up for modeling at the age of 2 and she did some commercials growing up which got her noticed for The Grinch.

After that she did a few other movies, including playing Polly in the live action Underdog movie, and audtiontioned for the role of Hannah Montana. Obviously she never got it, but she said in retrospect she was happy she didn’t. From there she moved on to a role on the CW in the show Gossip Girl. After that show was cancelled, she had a dry spell for 3 years, but is now the front woman for a rock band called The Pretty Reckless. According to an article in OK! Magazine, her band had signed a record deal with Interscope Records, and opened for the Veronicas on their Revenge is Sweeter tour in 2009.

All in all, she managed to stay out of trouble unlike some famous child actors who kept finding themselves mixed up with the law or drugs. Now she seems to made a life for herself and doing really well. Check out some photos of her and this music video of her and her band. Pretty bad ass rocker if you ask me.
