Schenectady Giving Union College Hockey Team Championship Parade
In honor of their National Championship, the Union College Hockey Team will be getting a parade in their hometown. Stepping off at 4:00 PM today, the champs have a parade route all planned out.
Celebrating their first ever NCAA title, the Union College hockey team will be enjoying a parade thrown for them in Schenectady today. Stepping off at 4:00 PM at the Alumni Gym, the team will go by the Messa Rink as they head onto Nott street, according to Paul Nelson of the Times Union. The team will head South over to Seward Place and then West over to Union Street before going South on Jay Street. The team will end up at the steps of City Hall!
All the bells and whistles will be out for the champs today -the police and fireman will be in attendance. Mayor Gary McCarthy will also be on hand.
