Wolff’s Biergarten Coming To Schenectady
Exciting news for Albany area restaurants. Local restaurateur Matt Baumgartner is opening his sixth restaurant, and it will bring a Wolff’s Biergarten to Downtown Schenectady.
Far off the beaten path of the traditional Downtown Albany scene, Wolff’s Biergarten on Broadway has created a new area of successful flourishing bar restaurants. Now they are expending to the developing Downtown Schenectady thing.
According to the Albany Business Review the location of Baumgarten’s latest project will be on Erie Boulevard where the old KEM Cleaners location is. This will be his second staple going into the Downtown Schenectady area. He also has one of his three Bombers Burrito Bar locations on State Street.
This is something that will continue to transform the once forgotten Schenectady area, which has vastly improved. New restaurants, bars and shops have helped to make this City with a bad reputation a place for people to go and eat, drink and be merry (yeah I went there) once again.
The article goes on to say that this new location will be similar to the Albany branch, but it will have more beers on tap. It would appear that Baumgartner plans to have this place opened by Fall 2014, or perhaps at least starting the building process.
Bring it on.
