Recalling Actor Bob Hoskins’ Notable Roles
With news of Bob Hoskins’ passing today, I began to think of each of my favorite movies from my childhood. Several movies I couldn’t get enough of, starred the late actor. Fairly confident I wore the VHS tape of Who Framed Roger Rabbit out. How do you remember him? Take a look at some of Hoskins’ notable roles and you can vote for your favorite.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (Eddie Valiant)- 1988
Hook (Smee)- 1991
Super Mario Brothers (Mario) – 1993
Hoskins was an accomplished actor, having been nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actor in 1986’s Mona Lisa, a role he won a Golden Globe for. His role as Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit also got Hoskins nominated for a Golden Globe. Without question, my favorite was Roger Rabbit. You made a classic and I loved it, Bob. These are films we grew up watching.
