New Shredder From Michael Bay TMNT Movie Kind Of Sucks
While I’m not really shocked that the new look Shredder is a bit disappointing to the eye, it makes me doubt this movie a little bit more. We got our first look at Shredder, and we can never go back.
So this is what the evil “shred-head” will look like in this summer’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot from Michael Bay. I have confidence that William Fitchner will play the part well, provided it’s written well, I’m not a big fan of the crazy look.
They went for a samurai, which is cool, but it looks like a bad combination of Wolverine, Silver Samurai and Edward Scissor Hands. Not exactly what I was hoping for.
Now this was posted from a TMNT fansite on twitter, so I’m hoping it still might not be 100% real. But these guys are usually pretty spot-on.
Those of us who remember the 80’s cartoon and comic, or the original 1990 film know that Shredder is a menacing villain, but he did it without gigantic sword-claws. Maybe they decided to make him all Super Shredder right from the start? I hope not, but with Michael Bay you never know.
With that being said, check out Shredder’s first appearance in in the iconic 1990 film, which in my opinion is one of the best comic book movies ever made.

I have zero faith in Michael Bay. He should never be allowed to touch a classic franchise ever again, under pain of DEATH!
