Hot Tub Time Machine, the cinematic gold masterpiece we realized in 2010 now has its long-awaited sequel hitting the big screen!  OK, so the first movie wasn’t exactly Academy Award worthy, but it was quite possibly the best $4.00 DVD I have ever purchased. Now, we’ll see the majority of the cast return and hop back in the spa as they dart into the future this time.

In 2010, John Cusack, Rob Corddry , Craig Robinson and Clark Duke all took us back to the ’80’s in the comedy, Hot Tub Time Machine.  Cusack, “Adam Yates”, lead a pack of friends completely unsatisfied with their lives.  Trying to relive their youth, the group hits an old hot spot of theirs and inside is a hot tub, which apparently doubles as a time machine as the fellas wake up in 1986 – prime and ready to change the course of their lives.  99 minutes of comedy gold.

Come Christmas Day of 2014, we’re lucky enough to be graced with the film’s sequel – Hot Tub Time Machine 2!  Sadly, Cusack won’t be part of the film. He worked so well with the first movie as he truly was a big star in the ’80’s.  With the second installment, we’ll see the cast end up in the future – the year 2024.  Taking Cusack’s role will be Adam Scott, playing Adam Yates Jr.

Check out the Red Band trailer- which means this video has foul language and scenes not safe for children or work environments!  Love – love the Lisa Loeb “Stay (I Missed You) reference about 43 seconds in.

Who’s coming with me for the Christmas Eve midnight showing?
