The Rock Will Play Black Adam in DC Comics’ Shazam Movie
There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be taking up a role in a comic book movie. The man looks like a beast, so it’s only fitting he play a superhero, or in this case a super villain.
The Rock had teased that he was involved with DC Comics, but whoever he was going to play was still up in the air – until now.
Earlier today he posted the above photo on twitter confirming that he will be playing Captain Marvel’s (Shazam) nemesis Black Adam.
One thing that isn’t clear is that if Black Adam will be a real villain, or Loki type role. They are teasing him as an “anti hero”, so maybe he’ll be fighting with Captain Marvel?
Who knows. Chances are DC will screw it up.
I would have much preferred to see The Rock as Lobo, as he was rumored to be playing for years. Looks like we’re out of luck.
The Rock should have put his stock in Marvel Comics.
