Deadpool Movie Confirmed For February 2016
We got the tiniest taste of Deadpool on the big screen in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and though most of us would like to forget how he ended up at the end of that, Ryan Reynolds’ overall performance of the character wasn’t horrible.
According to Variety, both FOX and Marvel have confirmed that Deadpool will be getting a movie and it will be out February 12, 2016. Beyond that confirmation and date, not much else is currently known.
Ryan Reynolds has been interested in this character since before “X-Men Origins” in 2009, but no word yet if he’ll be playing the role of the Merc with a Mouth.
There was some leaked test footage released over the summer, but no word if any of that will come into play.
It will be a ballsy move for FOX and Marvel to put out an “R” rated superhero movie. However if they want to keep true to the character they may need to push the envelope a little bit for this one.
