Mangia Restaurant in Slingerlands To Close This Month
A local, popular Italian eatery is closing their doors after 25 years of business. Find out when Mangia in Slingerlands will serve their final meal.
Another restaurant appears to be closing down here in the Capital Region – without notice on their website or Facebook, too. Mangia, an Italian eatery, has been in business for 25 years in Slingerlands, NY. An article on Times Union surfaced this morning, stating that Mangia will no longer be operating at their New Scotland Road location after January 31st.
This will be the third “Mangia” to close over the last several years. Mangia Clifton Park closed in 2008 and a Plattsburgh location shut down in the Summer of 2012. As Steve Barnes of the Times Union states, the Plattsburgh spot closed up shop with “about a day’s notice.” The chain’s owner, Brian White, also owned and closed Central Steak over in Colonie. Does this spell trouble for White’s other restaurants? He owns several more places within driving distance.
