FLYNN LIVES! TRON 3 Filming Starts In October

They kept saying it would happen, and now we have a better idea of when it will happen. A source close to production of the movie says that principal filming will begin on October 5th, 2015 in Vancouver. Who else is ready for another trip to The Grid?

tron-legacy-theme-04-700x434The sources told VanCity Buzz the date filming would begin, but also said that Garrett Hedlund was returning to the role of Sam Flynn, son of the creator of The Grid, Kevin Flynn, who was played by Jeff Bridges in the original TRON and TRON: Legacy. But no word on Olivia Wilde who played love interest Quorra, or Bruce Boxleitner who played Flynn’s friend Alan Bradley in the real world, and TRON in the computer world.

In the years since the release of TRON: Legacy, there has been speculation here and there about plot points and stories. The big one being that bad guy from the original movie, Ed Dillinger, played David Warner, will be back, as we met his son Ed Jr., played by Cillian Murphy in Legacy. There was also some of the extra featurette titled “The Next Day”, that built some of the rumors for plot points for the next movie.

But it’s just been far too long since this franchise has been talked about and now that we are getting some word of the continuation of it, I am excited and can’t wait to see what is next!

In the meantime, get caught up with some of these rumors with The Next Day film that was released with the DVD..
