Robert Downey Jr Walks Out of Interview After Reporter Gets Weird
Right now Robert Downey Jr is doing a promotional tour for a little film called “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” It’s going to be one of the biggest movies of the year, and kick off an exciting summer of blockbusters for all of us to enjoy. So why did this reporter have to go and try and ask some odd ball questions?
Obviously RDJ has had a troubled past. He was a bit wild as a youth, but ever since doing some time in prison, and becoming Tony Stark in 2008, RDJ has made a massive comeback.
Check out this interview, in full. It’s at about the 5:15 mark when things get particularly weird.
A channel 4 news reporter, Krishnan Guru-Murthy , started to ask him about his political views and attempted to talk to RDJ about his father. It wasn’t like RDJ didn’t want to talk about it, but he’s doing a press tour for his movie and has limited time. Plus the father questions are a little personal.
As someone who has done interviews, you know what questions you can, and can’t ask. Clearly his father is a subject RDJ doesn’t want to talk about. I can’t say I blame him for walking out.
My favorite moment is when he says to the reporter, “You have just as much time as everyone else,” because this guy was searching for some sort of in-depth interview. One thing he forgot about RDJ, though. He doesn’t just play Iron Man. He is Iron Man.
