New York Approves $15 Per Hour For Fast Food Workers
Is $15 per hour too much to pay a fast food employee? That’s the hottest debate on the Internet today as a New York panel appointed by Governor Cuomo recommended the pay increase just hours ago. Supporters argue any wages less make it near impossible to survive, where as the opposition believes the job requirements are too easy to justify the increase in pay. Where do YOU stand?
A New York panel recommended to increase the hourly wage for fast food employees from the state minimum of $8.75 to $15. If the state commissioner of labor accepts the increase, workers in NYC will see the hike by 2018 and the rest of NY in 2021. Social media is on fire today – from both pro and anti increase fans. The big question – where do you stand?
Rather than listing all of the positive and negative aspects of the wage increase, we at X-Jock will let you have the floor – take the poll and vote whether you believe fast food employees should make $15 per hour.
