Bald Eagle Lands on Mariners Pitcher James Paxton

A Bald Eagle landed on a baseball player’s shoulder yesterday, during the National Anthem. While this sounds like a well-planned move, the bird wasn’t meant to be there. Check out an amazing video of Mariners pitcher, James Paxton, having the US National Emblem give him a surprise visit.
During yesterday’s Mariners and Twins game, MLB had a Bald Eagle fly to the pitcher’s mound during the National Anthem. Well, that was the plan anyway. The bird, however, had other ideas. The Mariners pitcher, James Paxton, was in the outfield – several hundred feet from what should have been the Eagle’s landing spot, when the bird made a pit stop to end up on Paxton’s shoulder.
This his credit, despite how menacing an Eagle looks, Paxton never really showed fear. In fact, if you look at he photo – Paxton now has one of the coolest pictures of him anyone could ask for. A Bald Eagle, on your shoulder. ENVIOUS.
