Watch Kirsten Dunst Do a Cover Of The Vapor’s Turning Japanese [VIDEO]


I’m a fan of 80’s rock. Not only the metal and hard rock stuff, but even some of the pop and “off center” stuff too. I guess you could call it avant guard? Anyways, the Vapors had a cool hit and actress Kristen Dunst did a cover and a music video.
And I gotta say she look amazing in this video! The short dress and the dancing does something for me. Who knew right? Well check it out, just for the music if the visuals aren’t your thing, because it’s pretty good! He’s to her maybe doing a few others!

Creator of Cards Against Humanity Game Will Buy Congress’ Browsing History and Share It – Tech Thursday


Congress just rolled back some Net Neutrality rules that protected your browsing habits from being sold by ISPs out to make more money then they already do, off of you. Effectively removing privacy rules put in place by the last administration. If you watched the video of when Richie Phillips stopped by the studio, you heard that he would let us know when he was going to release a new parody song, and he’s gone and done it! And he’s said we could share it with you here and on our streaming station X1. So without further ado, here is his latest called “Starting Over”.

Updates to X1


Just to get folks up to speed on things, we’ve been doing some work in the background. One thing is we  added new music to the rotation of the station. Some Creed and Tool and a couple others. So when you listen you should hear them come up now! We also made it a little easier to listen as well! We created a listen live page that is mobile friendly. So you can listen on your mobile devices. We do have plans to have better mobile access, but that is in the future so stay tuned for that.

As always, we’ll have Geek Show, but we’re going to be adding a couple more programs to the station as well. We’re working on finalizing those. We hope that you like these new improvements and we would love to hear from you, what you think of them. Or if you have ideas, please share them.

Richie Phillips Stops By The X1 Studio


Richie Phillips stopped by for a visit to check out the studio, but we couldn’t let him leave without talking to him on the air about what he’s been up to, what he thinks about the recent changes that have happened in the Albany radio market, and maybe a podcast in his future? 

Bill Paxton b. May 17, 1955, d. Feb 25, 2017


It’s with great sadness that we report the loss of one of Hollywood’s brightest actors, Bill Paxton, star of such movie as Aliens, Weird  Science, and The Terminator, has passed at the age of 61 due to complications from surgery.

It was announced today by his family and and comes as a shock to many that another well known actor had passed as such a relatively young age.

We at X1 were all entertained by his characters and his love of his craft. And we want to send our deepest condolences to his family and friends. It will be a long time before some one else like him shines as bright as him.

Happy 86th Birthday James Earl Jones


We would like to wish James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader a Happy 86th Birthday! A man who made heavy breathing acceptable on Holonet calls. And also one of the most recognizable voices in the movie industry. 
He’s also been in numerous movies and won Multiple Emmys as well as Golden Globes. As well as the Lifre Time Acheuvement award from the Screen Actor’s Guild and an Honorary Academy Award. 

Paul Perkins is Coming to Albany for a Telethon


Paul Perkins, running back with the New York Giants, will be appearing as a special sports guest at the Telethon to benefit the Center for Disability Services on Sunday, January 29. Perkins will also be meeting fans as well. Read the rest of this entry
