Richie Phillips Stops By The X1 Studio


Richie Phillips stopped by for a visit to check out the studio, but we couldn’t let him leave without talking to him on the air about what he’s been up to, what he thinks about the recent changes that have happened in the Albany radio market, and maybe a podcast in his future? 

Bill Paxton b. May 17, 1955, d. Feb 25, 2017


It’s with great sadness that we report the loss of one of Hollywood’s brightest actors, Bill Paxton, star of such movie as Aliens, Weird  Science, and The Terminator, has passed at the age of 61 due to complications from surgery.

It was announced today by his family and and comes as a shock to many that another well known actor had passed as such a relatively young age.

We at X1 were all entertained by his characters and his love of his craft. And we want to send our deepest condolences to his family and friends. It will be a long time before some one else like him shines as bright as him.

Happy 86th Birthday James Earl Jones


We would like to wish James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader a Happy 86th Birthday! A man who made heavy breathing acceptable on Holonet calls. And also one of the most recognizable voices in the movie industry. 
He’s also been in numerous movies and won Multiple Emmys as well as Golden Globes. As well as the Lifre Time Acheuvement award from the Screen Actor’s Guild and an Honorary Academy Award. 

Paul Perkins is Coming to Albany for a Telethon

It is with great sadness we have learned of the passing of one of Hollywood’s “royals” in not just character, but by her family. Carrier Fish, daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds has passed from complications of a cardiac event that befell her on a flight into LAX from London on Friday the 23rd of December. being drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.
