Ignoring the train barrier levels while down, flashing red and signaling that a massive locomotive is barreling towards you is probably a poor decision.  Not for a student driver in Menands, NY., apparently.  Do they not advise against this action in the NYS DMV handbook?  Watch the brave souls whom elect to create their own rules of the road.
